A High-Hoper?
Thursday, November 26, 2020Are you a High-Hoper?
Hope is a belief in your own ability to make things happen. High-Hopers are optimistic, they believe in themselves and they don’t really get disturbed when things don’t go as planned. Oh, and also? They enjoy high levels of goal-attainment. Sounds good, right?
But how do they do it?!
Some folk are naturally High-Hopers but anyone can choose to become one. Here’s how!
+ Goals: Set really great goals and then break them down into sub-goals.
+ Pathways: Identify heaps [and heaps!] of pathways to help you reach your goals. Go crazy, get creative! Keep thinking: what else could I do? What else? And then consider and mentally rehearse what you’ll do if you encounter a road-block.
+ Agency: Gather evidence that supports your capacity to achieve and so boosts your self-belief. You might like to determine your strengths [this free survey is a great tool] and highlight times you’ve exercised them. Or you could make a list of past successes, even ones that are unrelated to the particular goals you’re currently woking towards.
