Tuesday, January 20, 2015In her book Thrive, Arianna Huffington suggests that when you’re super busy you tend to give up the things that nourish you the most.
And I realised that I’d done exactly that. So I decided to do something about it.
I ordered some books online, I went to the gym, I called a far-away-friend for a chat, I went for a walk by the river, I visited a lovely close-to-home-friend [and she fed me cake] and I organised a just-the-two-of-us [plus one of our little ones] lunch for my most favourite person in the whole world.
Losing focus of what is important is so easy [even if you’re a coach and you’re meant to be aware of this stuff]. But a return to what matters can be incredibly simple [and leave you feeling oh.so.good].
