I had lunch with a new friend this week. We happened to be in the same place at the same time.

I found a bug in my muesli [which, as far as lunches go, I wasn’t really that excited about to begin with and, after looking into the little.critter’s googly eyes, found myself even less hungry for]. And so my new.friend shared his.

It was all a little fifth.grade (minus the warm cordial and squishy muesli bar) and that, in itself, made me happy.

But the best bit wasn’t the food. It was the sitting in the sun, talking to someone new and interesting, liking their perspective, being excited about possibility.

Fridays are a great opportunity to think about the week’s best.bits. In a weird way, this was one of mine.
