distance
Friday, November 15, 2013As friends of This Little Blog would know, I have been walking a lot recently. Just as the light is softening, my favourite little person and I head out, to soak in end.of.the.day.ness and to take a breather from the grumpiness that comes with Being a Tired Little One.
We often walk down by the river – it is calm and quiet and there are ducks and lizards and owls and other lovely Walking Folk who smile and nod.
Last week we crossed a little bridge and were making our way back home when I looked across the water to a hill on the other side, which we had just passed. And I saw something that I hadn’t seen up close: beautiful land art – a big, majestic bird shaped into the grass.
When witnessing beauty, a little distance can make a big difference.
