Keep one promise
Thursday, April 15, 2021Imagine if, this week, you chose a single goal. And actually achieved it.
Imagine if you made a promise to yourself and respected yourself enough to actually keep it.
You know those people in your life who, if you tell them you’ll do something you always follow through? What if you treated yourself the same the way you treat them?
If you’re curious to see what might happen, try this:
+ Choose a single goal. It can’t be too big, must be actually achievable. Such as: I will go for a swim on Wednesday morning; I will walk in the park every single lunch time; I will call my friend in New York on Saturday morning; I will set up a direct-debit into a savings account by Thursday night.
+ Write it down.
+ Note down any possible barriers: not booking into the pool; raining at lunch; forgetting to call; choosing to go out for drinks instead.
+ Design a plan, including strategies to address potential barriers and maybe telling someone else, to keep you accountable. Write it down.
+ Make it happen!
Realising a goal boosts your self-belief, heightens your confidence and motivates you to keep on achieving.
So good!
