Challenge yourself to find a single thing you can do this week, to boost:
+ Your sense of autonomy
Maybe you could speak to your manager about ways in which you could gain greater control over your day. Maybe there are meetings you can opt out of, maybe you could have more flexibility over your hours…
+ Your sense of competence
Perhaps you could sign up for a professional development unit or do some training on LinkedIn learning. You could speak to a more experienced colleague, explore Coursera or enrol in a Masters program.
+ Your sense of connection
Maybe you could map the networks in your organisation, choose one person and invite them to a connection coffee . You could take the initiative to set up a social function for your team. Or you could facilitate a meeting between two fabulous people who you know could do great work together.
Actively focusing your attention on boosting your sense of autonomy, competence and connection will deliver significant [and often unexpected!] personal and professional benefits.
