Open up
Wednesday, September 18, 2019One of the things I see many of my coaching clients do, when considering big, brilliant [terrifying!] change is this: they clam up. They keep everything in, and don’t talk to anyone about the ideas they’re having.
Mostly for fear of being judged.
Now, I get that you have to be careful in who you speak to. You don’t want to jeopardise a fragile idea, or crush a glimmer of confidence or risk losing a concept to a competitor.
But generally, a chat with a good person can really help an emerging project bloom. Good people love seeing others thrive and they love to contribute to others’ success. They might suggest pathways that you’ve never considered, ask questions that expand your thinking, offer resources and contacts you would otherwise never had access to.
So be brave! Talk to the person next to you. Put your little seed of an idea into the world. See what happens.
