possibility
Saturday, May 12, 2012My life, at the moment, is [beautifully!curiously?] filled with birds.
It started when I moved into my new office: a pair of art-deco sparrows began a gentle watch over me from their perch near the ceiling. A flutter of feathered.friends were soon peering out from my wall. And recently a couple of cooing love.birds have started an early.morning huddle, on a wire just outside the kitchen, observing my sleepy coffee.and.toast ritual.
Then, during the week, riding home after a Big Serious Meeting. The air was cold and the light was fading. That perfect purple.sky.moment delivered as a brilliant reminder: that life is good and you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Traffic banked, me scooting past, downhill, fast! Up ahead: another rider, hands free, perfectly perched, beautifully balanced, liquid.pouring. And then, slow motion, in a heart.stopping moment of joy and now.ness: his arms began to raise and lower, bird.like: preparing to take off. [oh!]
I don’t know what the Bird.ness means. Practical Folk might say it’s coincidence. To me, they speak dancingly of potential and possibility.
