You know, those behaviours that you tend to emerge when your life is feeling out of whack: when work has taken over or when family demands feel too great or when you’ve lost your connection to yourself.
Me? I find myself researching super-luxurious holidays that I will never go on. Weird, I know.
You might find yourself:
- Exercising heaps more than normal
- Snapping at family
- Numbing yourself with alcohol or telly or your phone
- Eating food that doesn’t nourish you
- Searching for jobs online
- Planning a whole new life [I’ll move to Brazil and start a yoga studio!]
- Buying heaps of stuff you don’t need
It can be useful to recognise the behaviours you display when your life feels out of alignment. And to determine, ahead of time, the actions that will help you to steer yourself back on track.
