satisfied
Wednesday, June 29, 2011Are you a satisfiser or a maximiser?
A satisfiser will look at a selection of options then will be content to make a good.enough choice.
Maximisers, in contrast, will assess every single possible option and strive to make the very best choice.
Maximisers take longer to make their decisions. They also tend to be less content with the decisions they make, even though those decisions may seem better than the relatively quick decisions made by satisfisers.
Recently, I have been looking for a new pair of boots.
My current boots have holes in them.
My feet get wet when it rains.
[And it rains a whole lot here.]
I have been looking for months:
Some are too high, some are too low.
Some are too laced-up, some are too floppy.
Some are too hard, some are too soft.
Some are too girly, some are too militant.
I am striving for the perfect.pair.of.boots.
But summer is approaching and my feet are cold.
It’s time to become a satisfiser.
