Sunday, September 27, 2015I have been receiving promotional emails from A Major Retailer.
I originally signed up to receive their materials but then I unsubscribed. And unsubscribed again. And again. Then I called and was assured that I would be removed from their list. When I continued to receive emails, I called again and was assured once more that I would be removed. This last time, the lovely person who answered my call suggested that I block sender. I politely replied that responsibility to rectify the situation does not lie with me.
I find it a bit frustrating.
Big businesses do it but small businesses do it too. I don’t know how many times I have received materials from a new entrepreneur who has chosen to add me to their mailing list, without my consent.
If you are establishing a new business, my suggestion is this: act with integrity.
