My current favourite make.my.brain.jump book is Learning to Love You More.
In 2002, Harris Fletcher and Miranda July set up a website, inviting folk all over the place to accept assignments, complete them by following the given instructions and then submit the results. The assignments were things like: Photograph a Significant Outfit; Take a Picture of Strangers Holding Hands; Write Down a Recent Argument; Take a Flash Photo Under Your Bed; and Draw a Constellation From Someone’s Freckles.
The website is excellent and the book is even better…guaranteed (sort of) to inspire you to live bigger and a bit more creatively.
